Nonprofit Partners

Festival of Friends PNW was born with a love of music and friendship at it's forefront. We have been so proud of the growth of our event, however it wouldn't be the same if we weren't able to find a way to give back to our community.

We have partnered with two amazing Nonprofits who are as passionate about music and community as we are. Please take some time to learn about Ethos and Looking Out Foundation, and consider donating to their amazing causes.

When Ethos began, classes were held in a basement at the University of Portland and staffed by a dedicated group of volunteers. Ethos has since grown into an organization that employs a small administrative staff and more than 30 part-time music instructors. The President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities has named Ethos one of the top 50 after-school arts programs in the U.S. eight times since 2003.

We partner with and listen to students, families, and community advocates to collaboratively identify and remove a variety of barriers to music education.

Ethos believes all students deserve access to the well documented benefits of music education regardless of socioeconomic status, geographic location, abilities, religion, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, gender identity, or sexual orientation.

The Looking Out Foundation amplifies the impact of music by awarding grants, engaging community, and creating powerful partnerships. From neighborhood to nation, they activate their dedicated coalition of fan volunteers and use their platform to uplift humanitarian causes, organizations, and activists leading the fight to create a better world.

Looking Out Foundation's Causes:

To turn grassroots donations into impactful grants and deliver them to nonprofits all over the world working to support displaced people, the LGBTQIA2S+ community, and increased access to mental health and the arts.
